Kat + Andrew's Moab Sunrise Session | Arches National Park

I got to spend a whole day in Utah with Kat + Andrew, and man it was insane. We caught a STUNNING Moab sunrise at Arches National Park for their adventure engagement session and then headed to the Moab river & Dead Horse Point Canyon. What an amazing day in Utah with two freaking wonderful people!!

Our day adventuring in Utah National Parks

WOW this whole day was so damn amazing with Kat + Andrew. These two were road-tripping across the country in their van, so they booked an all-day adventure session with me in Moab. Talk about a dream!!

Sunrise in Arches National Park

We started the day off witnessing a classic Moab sunrise in Arches National Park, exploring the red rocks, sandy trails, & the painted hills. Kat rocked a super beautiful black dress (and heels!!) and Andrew was an earth-toned king with his pale blue shirt & orange pants.

If you’re not super familiar with Arches National Park, it’s one of the “Utah Big 5” - one of the beautiful national parks in the state! The colors and textures of this park are absolutely unreal, so I’m sooo glad we started the day off here.

Sunrise was the perfect time to come to the park since it gets pretty crowded during the daytime (especially in the summer!).

Afternoon in the Moab river

After spending time in Arches we headed to the Moab river for some fun time in the water!! Kat and Andrew looked cute as AF in their swimsuits, exploring and enjoying the river together. I love spending time at multiple locations for adventure sessions because you’re able to get totally different vibes at each spot!

They wore the perfect swimsuits for these photos - neutral colors and Kat’s simple leopard pattern bottom! Patterns are great to wear for water photos, since they don’t really distract from the scenery or other pieces of your outfit at all.

Sunset at Dead Horse Point Canyon

And as if the whole day hadn’t been amazing enough, we ended the adventure session at Dead Horse Point Canyon, another crazy stunning spot in Utah. I meannn how can you beat the purples, pinks, & oranges of a Dead Horse Point Canyon sunset like this one?! Unreal!!

Kat changed into a shorter black dress and they both put hats on, which I loved. Hats are such a great way to add a little variety & spice to any outfit!!

Overall this day was absolutely MAGICAL. Cannot believe this is my job.

And don’t let their smiles fool you, there were a lot of tears shed because Kat kept stepping on Andrew’s foot and hurting his already bad toe! But other than that this adventure engagement session during their cross-country road trip was one for the books!
